Photo Editing
In this fast paced world, images are always needed in an instant, and booking a photographer for a reshoot is an expensive process. Here I showcase my photo editing and manipulation techniques that helped modify existing products or create photos that were better suited to the advertising objectives.
Christmas cupcake box
Off the back of a cupcake box photo taken in earlier in the year, a Christmas version was required. This meant changing the background as well as ribbon colour, and adding decorations.
Christmas cupcake box inside
Taking a photo from The Queen's Place cupcake box and adapting it with Christmas cupcakes taken from the internet to create a new product for the business.
The fix: Cutting out and masking of each cupcake; shadowing and lighting correction.
Santa cake
This new cake design was developed for the Christmas period at The Queen's Place and needed to be promoted as soon as possible. Unfortunately the cake was precut and photographed against the bottom of the display unit.
The fix: Repairing knife cuts; changing the background; removing icing mistakes; brightening and colour adjusting.
Valentine's day promotion
This photo was adapted for a Valentine's Day promotion and required the wine to be changed to match the promotion and room for text and wine bottles.
The fix: Brightening; changing the colour of the wine; enlargement of background and image overlay.
Lamb sauce promotion
This photoshoot always had the intention of leaving a space on the wooden board for the cut of lamb., to make the sauce more enticing.
The fix: Cutting out and placing into the scene the lamb rib.
Ravioli & Cia - new website
Created to promote the new website for the company. This was a merging of 3 picture, the phone, the background photo of inside their store and a screenshot from the website.
The fix: Cutting out and placing on a new background; insertion of website image and masking of finger over the image.
Ravioli & Cia - delivery social post
Taken for promotional purposes, this image was to advertise the new delivery service for Ravioli & Cia.
The fix: Brightening; colour control; removal of bag folds and sharpening.
The Queen's Place - Christmas product
Quickly pulled together this image was taken and sent to me as part of a Christmas selection of products. The client wanted the image to have more of an impact and festive feel.
The fix: Masking of third glitter image around the product and blurring.
